About Me

Who I Work With Most

I most often work with people who are:

  • Living with anxiety, stress or constant overthinking

  • Struggling with confidence or self‐worth

  • Stuck in unhelpful habits around food, health or self‐care

  • Dealing with long‐standing fears or phobias

Many of my clients are intelligent, capable people who are outwardly coping, but internally feel overwhelmed, exhausted or stuck in patterns that no longer make sense to them.

Why I Chose This Work

Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I spent many years working in large corporate organisations in a variety of roles. Over time, I found myself increasingly disillusioned and unfulfilled.
I reached a point where I asked myself a simple but important question:

“Am I going to spend the rest of my life doing something that no longer feels meaningful?”

The answer was no.
I wanted to do work that made a genuine, tangible difference to people’s lives, work that aligned with my values and sense of purpose. My long‐standing fascination with how the mind works, particularly the relationship between mind and body, led me naturally into hypnotherapy.

Training, Experience & How I Work

I began my hypnotherapy training under the guidance of a respected Harley Street practitioner and have continued to develop my skills ever since.

Rather than relying on suggestion alone, my work draws on a blend of approaches, including:

  • Clinical Hypnotherapy

  • Analytical and suggestion‐based techniques

  • Neuro‐Linguistic Programming (NLP)

  • Counselling and psychotherapeutic principles

  • Coaching‐based tools where appropriate

This integrative approach allows me to tailor each session to the individual, not the issue.

I don’t believe in a one‐size‐fits‐all solution. Every person’s experiences, triggers and goals are different, and therapy should reflect that.

My Philosophy

At the heart of my work is a simple principle: treat people the way I would want to be treated.

That means:

  • Respect and compassion at all times

  • A calm, non‐judgemental environment

  • Sessions that are not rushed or clock‐watched

  • A focus on root causes, not just surface symptoms

I charge by the session rather than by the hour so that we are not constrained by time, particularly during the initial session when understanding the full picture is important.

My aim is not to ‘fix’ you, but to help you reconnect with your own inner resources, regain control, and move forward with confidence.

What Clients Often Say They Notice

Clients regularly tell me that:

  • They feel at ease very quickly

  • Sessions feel calm, safe and unrushed

  • They feel listened to, not judged

  • The work goes deeper than they expected

This feedback matters to me, because feeling safe and understood is essential for real change to take place.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Alongside hypnotherapy, I have a strong interest in psychology, personal development, and the mind‐body connection. I continue to study areas such as behaviour change, wellbeing and emotional regulation.

I also enjoy mentoring young people and supporting individuals and business owners who want to develop greater clarity, confidence and direction in their lives.

My Qualifications & Professional Memberships

  • Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy

  • Certified Practitioner – General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

  • NLP Practitioner

...a Calm, Ethical Approach — Focused on Real Change

Hello, I’m Peter Khan.

I’m a Clinical Hypnotherapist specialising in anxiety, stress‐related issues, confidence, behavioural change and phobias, working with adults and young people in Chafford Hundred and the surrounding areas.

Many of the people who contact me feel unsure or sceptical, not just about hypnotherapy, but about whether anything will really help. That hesitation is completely understandable. My role is to offer a calm, safe and non‐judgemental space where we can work together at your pace.
